Allie has a fear of using the vault toilet with Faith. Not only is there that initial “grossness” to get over, but she has a fear that Faith will fall right into the toilet because of how small she is compared with the size of the opening. At our last two camping trips we have gone to sites that have no shower facilities and only vault toilets.
Our portable toilet has been a very useful part of these trips. We initially purchased this in case we wanted to go dispersed camping, but it has come in handy for sites without a regular toilet.

We also used the Abco Privacy Tent since we aren’t exactly in the middle of nowhere.
The combination has worked great. The privacy tent has pockets where we keep a roll of toilet paper and some wet wipes. It provides plenty of room to get the job done. The toilet is works well for what it is and when we eventually do go dispersed camping, I know it will be a lot more comfortable to use this over digging a hole or taking care of waste with a shovel and bag.
