The Huntington Library, Art Museum, and Botanical Gardens is located San Marino, CA. For those not familiar with this area in Southern California, it is near Pasadena. The Huntington has not been left untouched by this current pandemic. They spent a good deal of time closed due to COVID-19.
Recently they re-opened and are accepting visitors with reservations. Due to current restrictions, all indoor exhibits are closed. Furthermore, they have instituted temperature checks at the entrance and require masks to be worn by all visitors (except for small children). Social distancing is requested. Most paths are marked with one-way signs.
As we walked through the sprawling grounds we would often see a party in the distance, sitting on their blanket, taking in the scenery. All in all, it was a great option for safely getting outside during the pandemic.
