This little series meant a lot to me — Faith gro This little series meant a lot to me — Faith growing into her own, Faith and Allie sharing the sweetest mother–daughter moments, and then Allie on her own, steady and radiant as ever. A whole story in pictures of the two girls who bring so much beauty, warmth, and strength into our home.

🏨 A Weekend at the St. Regis ✨ Thanks to Bon 🏨 A Weekend at the St. Regis ✨ Thanks to Bonvoy Blessings, we spent two nights at the St. Regis San Francisco — a stay I’ve always dreamed of but never quite justified. Allie worked her Marriott magic with a free night award and points, and suddenly, we were living in luxury. The service was next level: heavenly beds (even softer than Westin’s!), chocolates at turndown, and even my loose cables were neatly tied up with custom Velcro straps. When they saw we had kids in tow, they surprised us with mini robes and slippers so Faith and Jed could strut to the indoor pool in style. Of course, they convinced me to wear mine too. While I swam with the kids, Allie curled up poolside with her book… until reading drifted into napping. By checkout, Jed told the bellman he wanted to live at the St. Regis. Honestly? Same, buddy. 🚗🌉 Labor Day Weekend in San Francisco 🚌✨ After the drive up, we finally rolled into San Francisco on Saturday afternoon and reconnected with old friends we hadn’t seen in a while. To kick things off, we hopped on the Big Bus tour — the perfect way to soak in the city. From cruising through downtown and spotting colorful murals to crossing the Golden Gate Bridge, Faith and Jed loved the views from the top deck. We made our way to Pier 39 where we saw sea lions basking in the sun, grabbed snacks overlooking the marina, and even stopped at a magic shop where the kids got pulled into a few tricks. We ended the day with a stroll along the waterfront, catching the city skyline and Bay Bridge as the sun set. Day 7 – Sea Day & Victoria, Canada 🌊🎂🇨🇦 Our last full day on the Discovery Princess was packed with memories. The kids dove into on-ship fun, met crew members, and joined in on games in the Piazza. One dining room was set up with cards and board games, which made for the perfect family hangout. Later, our cabin steward surprised us with a towel “birthday cake” to celebrate both Allie and Faith’s August birthdays 🎉. Day 6 — At Sea ⛴️✨ After several busy days Day 6 — At Sea ⛴️✨ After several busy days in port, today we slowed down and enjoyed life onboard. Jed had a blast playing mini golf with the grandparents, while Faith and Dad caught a magic show. Not only did she get called up, but she also walked away with a magician’s deck of cards — signed just for her! 🎩🃏 In the evening, we dressed up for family portraits before heading to Sabatini’s for a special Italian dinner. Day 5 — Skagway 🚂🦅 The morning started wit Day 5 — Skagway 🚂🦅 The morning started with a fun surprise—a giant eagle mascot greeting us as we stepped off the ship! The kids loved it, setting the tone for a day full of adventure. In Skagway, we boarded the famous White Pass Scenic Railway. The ride took us past waterfalls, across wooden trestles, and high into the mountains—at one point even dipping into Canada before looping back. The kids were wide-eyed, laughing together as the train hugged the cliffs and revealed one breathtaking view after another. Skagway felt like stepping back in time, with its gold-rush history and charming buildings lining the streets. Day 4 — Endicott Arm & Juneau ❄️🐋 The day Day 4 — Endicott Arm & Juneau ❄️🐋 The day started before sunrise as we quietly glided through the Endicott Arm, surrounded by floating ice and towering cliffs. Watching the glacier-carved fjord wake up with the morning light was absolutely magical. Before reaching Juneau, we squeezed in a family photo shoot on the ship—dressed up and capturing memories against the ship’s grand staircase and the icy blue waters outside. Once ashore, our adventure continued at the Mendenhall Glacier, where the kids were in awe of the massive waterfall cascading nearby. From there, we boarded a smaller boat for whale watching—and it didn’t disappoint. With little time to spare, we scrambled off to catch our tour van—adventure mode activated! 🚐✨ The highlight of the morning? Spotting bears in the wild! 🐻 Watching them roam near the streams was both thrilling and humbling—such an unforgettable moment. We also wandered past Ketchikan’s colorful stilted buildings, learning a bit about the town’s history while soaking in the views. To top it all off, we treated ourselves to some amazing crepes before heading back to the ship. The kids spent the morning on the balcony, binoculars in hand, convinced they were spotting sea creatures I couldn’t quite identify 🐋🦭 (their imaginations are the best part of travel!). We enjoyed the calm rhythm of the ocean, plenty of laughs, and time together as a family. In the evening, we dressed up for dinner and made sure to capture family photos—one of those classic cruise traditions that makes the trip feel extra special. Day 1 — Embarkation Day 🚢✨ Boarding the Dis Day 1 — Embarkation Day 🚢✨ Boarding the Discovery Princess was the start of our Alaska adventure! The kids were full of energy (and snacks 😅) as we got to the terminal bright and early. From shuttle rides and check-in to those classic embarkation photos, excitement was written all over their faces. We wore our matching Alaska Adventure shirts to kick things off, then headed straight to explore the ship. First impressions? Absolutely beautiful—chandeliers, grand staircases, and endless places to discover. ✨ Family adventure kickoff! ✨ We were up befor ✨ Family adventure kickoff! ✨ We were up before the sun for a 6 AM flight out of ONT, but the excitement carried us through. ✈️ The kids packed their snacks, toys, and big smiles—ready to take on the trip! First stop after landing in Seattle? Straight into vacation mode with a visit to the Chihuly Garden and Glass 🌸✨ followed by the iconic Space Needle 🗼. This was extra special because the Needle has been on Faith’s bucket list for a while—dreams coming true on day one! It all started when @wandering2wholeness signed he It all started when @wandering2wholeness signed herself up for Jiu Jitsu at @gbredlandsbjj. She didn’t wait for anyone — just took the first step. I followed soon after, and it wasn’t long before both kids said they wanted to be part of it too. That’s the kind of mom Allie is — quietly leading by example, showing up with consistency, and inspiring all of us to do the same. She’s the heart of our home, and her drive toward health, strength, and balance touches every part of our family. #msfaithrae has already been training hard in Kenpo. There are tough days and days full of smiles too — but she keeps going. Watching us roll sparked something in her, and she asked to add Jiu Jitsu to the mix. Her favorite moment so far? Rolling with Mom during the special Mother’s Day class. #mrjededward had tried Jiu Jitsu before — but back then, one game of being chased turned him off from trying again. This time was different. Seeing Mommy and Daddy train together made him want to be part of it too. And now, we’re watching him step onto the mat with curiosity, excitement, and growing confidence. We’re just getting started, but it already feels like something special. Happy Mother’s Day, Allie — you’re the reason this journey began. 🏨 A Weekend at the St. Regis ✨ Thanks to Bon 🏨 A Weekend at the St. Regis ✨ Thanks to Bonvoy Blessings, we spent two nights at the St. Regis San Francisco — a stay I’ve always dreamed of but never quite justified. Allie worked her Marriott magic with a free night award and points, and suddenly, we were living in luxury. The service was next level: heavenly beds (even softer than Westin’s!), chocolates at turndown, and even my loose cables were neatly tied up with custom Velcro straps. When they saw we had kids in tow, they surprised us with mini robes and slippers so Faith and Jed could strut to the indoor pool in style. Of course, they convinced me to wear mine too. While I swam with the kids, Allie curled up poolside with her book… until reading drifted into napping. By checkout, Jed told the bellman he wanted to live at the St. Regis. Honestly? Same, buddy. 🚗🌉 Labor Day Weekend in San Francisco 🚌✨ After the drive up, we finally rolled into San Francisco on Saturday afternoon and reconnected with old friends we hadn’t seen in a while. To kick things off, we hopped on the Big Bus tour — the perfect way to soak in the city. From cruising through downtown and spotting colorful murals to crossing the Golden Gate Bridge, Faith and Jed loved the views from the top deck. We made our way to Pier 39 where we saw sea lions basking in the sun, grabbed snacks overlooking the marina, and even stopped at a magic shop where the kids got pulled into a few tricks. We ended the day with a stroll along the waterfront, catching the city skyline and Bay Bridge as the sun set. Day 7 – Sea Day & Victoria, Canada 🌊🎂🇨🇦 Our last full day on the Discovery Princess was packed with memories. The kids dove into on-ship fun, met crew members, and joined in on games in the Piazza. One dining room was set up with cards and board games, which made for the perfect family hangout. Later, our cabin steward surprised us with a towel “birthday cake” to celebrate both Allie and Faith’s August birthdays 🎉. Jed had a blast playing mini golf with the grandparents, while Faith and Dad caught a magic show. Not only did she get called up, but she also walked away with a magician’s deck of cards — signed just for her! 🎩🃏 In the evening, we dressed up for family portraits before heading to Sabatini’s for a special Italian dinner. The kids loved it, setting the tone for a day full of adventure. In Skagway, we boarded the famous White Pass Scenic Railway. The ride took us past waterfalls, across wooden trestles, and high into the mountains—at one point even dipping into Canada before looping back. The kids were wide-eyed, laughing together as the train hugged the cliffs and revealed one breathtaking view after another. Skagway felt like stepping back in time, with its gold-rush history and charming buildings lining the streets. Watching the glacier-carved fjord wake up with the morning light was absolutely magical. Before reaching Juneau, we squeezed in a family photo shoot on the ship—dressed up and capturing memories against the ship’s grand staircase and the icy blue waters outside. Once ashore, our adventure continued at the Mendenhall Glacier, where the kids were in awe of the massive waterfall cascading nearby. From there, we boarded a smaller boat for whale watching—and it didn’t disappoint. We also wandered past Ketchikan’s colorful stilted buildings, learning a bit about the town’s history while soaking in the views. To top it all off, we treated ourselves to some amazing crepes before heading back to the ship. The kids were full of energy (and snacks 😅) as we got to the terminal bright and early. From shuttle rides and check-in to those classic embarkation photos, excitement was written all over their faces. We wore our matching Alaska Adventure shirts to kick things off, then headed straight to explore the ship. First impressions? Absolutely beautiful—chandeliers, grand staircases, and endless places to discover. First stop after landing in Seattle? Straight into vacation mode with a visit to the Chihuly Garden and Glass 🌸✨ followed by the iconic Space Needle 🗼. This was extra special because the Needle has been on Faith’s bucket list for a while—dreams coming true on day one! It all started when @wandering2wholeness signed he It all started when @wandering2wholeness signed herself up for Jiu Jitsu at @gbredlandsbjj. She didn’t wait for anyone — just took the first step. I followed soon after, and it wasn’t long before both kids said they wanted to be part of it too. That’s the kind of mom Allie is — quietly leading by example, showing up with consistency, and inspiring all of us to do the same. She’s the heart of our home, and her drive toward health, strength, and balance touches every part of our family. #msfaithrae has already been training hard in Kenpo. There are tough days and days full of smiles too — but she keeps going. Watching us roll sparked something in her, and she asked to add Jiu Jitsu to the mix. Her favorite moment so far? Rolling with Mom during the special Mother’s Day class. #mrjededward had tried Jiu Jitsu before — but back then, one game of being chased turned him off from trying again. This time was different. Seeing Mommy and Daddy train together made him want to be part of it too. And now, we’re watching him step onto the mat with curiosity, excitement, and growing confidence. We’re just getting started, but it already feels like something special. Happy Mother’s Day, Allie — you’re the reason this journey began.
