We had heard about this place called Bearizona. It wasn’t on our way to or from Sedona since we were not planning to take Interstate 40. But we then realized that it was about an hour south of Grand Canyon National Park — and we had been planning to go there. Initially we had planned to spend an entire day at the Grand Canyon. But after thinking it over, I had my doubts about whether Faith would be up for a day of hikes — even if we did plan for multiple breaks.
The revised plan had us going to Bearizona with a goal of getting there at opening time. The goal was to spend a few hours there, find an early lunch, and then drive north to GCNP for a few hours before making the trek back to Sedona.
Despite the COVID-19 situation, both visits were enjoyable and we felt that the precautions were adequate considering most of the time was spent outdoors and not in close proximity to other parties.
