Episode 30 — Daddy-Daughter Day at Disneyland

It’s been way too long since my last vlog post. I think this is only the second one for the year 2018. It has definitely been a busy year, and, although my filming has not slowed down too much, it has been harder to sit down and find the time to edit videos and pictures. But I need to get back into it — even if our family is the only ones watching and enjoying these videos/photos. Even if we have an audience of us, I think it’s worth it for the memories we can preserve and look back on some.

Anyways, Faith and I took a trip to Disneyland for a Daddy-Daughter Day Adventure. We had our fair share of meet-and-greets. She got to see several Disney Princesses (Snow White, Ariel, Cinderella, Elsa, Anna, Jasmine) as well as go on 3 of her favorite rides (Ariel’s Undersea Adventure, Small World, and the Tea Cups). This was also the first time that she was able to take direction from a photographer. She posed as requested and held her pose while the picture was being taken!

I am always impressed when I see mothers taking two kids in a two-person stroller to the theme parks. Faith definitely tires me out and she is only one kid. I’ve done a couple days with just her and I now and I’m always exhausted by the end of the day. Regardless, I think the bonding is important. She may not remember the events or the specifics but I am banking on the relationship that builds from spending time together. And I think more dads should do it if they can find the time.
