Disney Day 1: Checking into a Deluxe Studio at the Villas and Downtown Disney with Kids

Welcome to our Disneyland adventure — episode 1! We planned a few days of family fun and celebration for Faith’s 8th birthday at the end of summer. We got a room (a deluxe studio) at the new DVC Villas at Disneyland Resort. We were happy to find we had a pool view and Jed had fun (I think) giving us updates on the status of the slides from his post. The room had a queen-sized bed with a queen-sized Murphy bed for the kids as well. The room didn’t have a kitchen, but we had a sink, microwave, and small fridge. On our first evening, we explored Downtown Disney, grabbed dinner at Splitsville, snagged desserts at Beignet Express, and tempted ourselves at World of Disney and the Star Wars Trading Post. It was good to be back inside the Disney bubble after so long.
