2019 Family Vacation Part 3

2019 Family Vacation Part 3

I just realized that I never finished posting the videos from our 2019 family vacation to Disney World. With the current pandemic upon us, what better time to reminisce about traveling and vacationing in the pre-COVID era. (Click here for Part 1 and here for Part 2.)

After our rest day, our vacation continued with visits to EPCOT and Animal Kingdom. At EPCOT, we started the day with a character breakfast at The Garden Grill. They had a vegetarian option with what appeared to be a breakfast sausage by Morningstar (or something very similar). While we sat and ate, the characters would come around like your typical character breakfast. The unique thing was that the restaurant was on a spinning platform that allowed you to see out and into the Living With The Land ride. After breakfast, we rushed to the Norway Pavillion to get into the line for Frozen Ever After.

One of the highlights for the day at Animal Kingdom was when we got to meet Pocohantas. As we stood in line waiting to meet her, I noticed that she looked familiar. I pulled out my phone and, sure enough, we had seen this exact Pocohantas before in 2017. I gave the phone to Faith and told her to show Pocohantas and she genuinely seemed surprised to see someone who had met year 2 years previously. Faith, who is usually quite talkative, seemed shy.

Part 3 brings our first week to a close. It was a fun-filled week where we were able to reunite with two other families we hadn’t gotten to know throughout residency.
