1 Year At Disneyland

When Faith was still only 8 months old, we decided to get passes for Disneyland. It was something we had never done before. Though I grew up in Southern California, I had never owned a pass and we rarely went to Disneyland growing up. Allie’s grandmother worked at Disneyland for over 40 years. Allie grew up frequently going to Disneyland but she had never paid to get in.

We were hesitant. We were worried that we would be discouraged from going back after our first time or that we wouldn’t get our money’s worth. But as it turned out, Faith loved the sights, smells, and sounds. And once we figure that part out, we were determined to visit often enough to make it worth it. 😂

Over that first year of being pass holders, we watched Faith change and grow so much. She started as an 8 month old not knowing or understanding anything. By the end of the year, she was starting to interact with everything around her. Visits didn’t need to be grand or fancy. Simply strolling down the familiar paths, window shopping down Main Street, and saying hello to Disney Princesses became a relaxing and refreshing part of our weekends. It became our family’s happy place.
